Gasoline and existence
Beside the questions of the gasoline and to be it,
that of the existence is the third large one
question of philosophy.
A vital requirement

To question in order to reach a conscious life and to think what melts reality are necessary but are not enough to determine what philosophy can be.
It misses with this one a third thing: the existence.

Because to be it
* for the man, it is not simply the reality of reality, nature *, God, freedom or of the history, it is also an interior requirement.
As show itPlato (428-348 front. J.-C.), Épictète (50-v. 130) and more recently Gabriel Marcel (1889
1973), the man does not need simply to have, it needs also to be, i.e. to get clear to have it.

Indeed, which wants to have finishes by being had by what it has. Moreover, it does not need simply to appear on the social scene and to be shown in order to like. It needs also authenticity, far from the social play and from its artifices, often masking a vacuum, seeking to divert itself, like
underline Pascal (1623-1662). Lastly, it does not need simply to make what plait to him, only, folded up on itself. It needs also to feel a presence in him, at the others,
in the life.
Noting this fact, Edmund Husserl (1859-1938) and Martin

Heidegger (1889-1976) wondered whether it would not be advisable to explore this need for authenticity more in order to know to be very short for it.
Because, be-it-not him which makes the essence of the gasoline * like being it?
This requirement which led them to refonder all philosophy revealed the concepts of existence and source.

"a beginning
it is other thing
that an origin...
The beginning
is historical,
while the origin
is the source
from where spouts out
what pushes to think "

Karl Jaspers,
Introduction to philosophy.

The man
need has to have
an existence
and not simply
a life.

The existence and life

It is important to take with serious the concept of transcendence * in the man like in the life in general.
There is a transcendence in the man, because this one needs to exist and not only of living. It needs to be free, to be achieved, and not simply to ensure its survival.

From where its projects, its engagements and its search. From where its anguish also, i.e. this creative impression to be with "narrow" in the life from which the need for "another thing results". When it has suddenly existed kind, its life takes a remarkable turning.
It acquires presence. It characterizes the man into clean: this one becomes what it is while being present at him even in the form of conscience, present at the others in the form of attention and of generosity, like present at the life in the form of an engagement and a thought.
But it goes beyond. Because if the presence characterizes the man, it characterizes also the life. This one is because it is present at itself, and that being thus present at it even it is presented at us while being present in time and while being represented in space.

In other words, space and time are bound and produced by this concept of presence, which appears fundamental.

From where this capital conclusion stated by Karl Jaspers (1883-1969): the presence being the bottom of any thing, the life does not have simply a beginning in time.
It has, through this one, a source. And having thus a source, it invites us to think and live differently.
With others, with art, virtue also and faith.

The whole while preserving the presence of the thought, in order not to lose itself in our presence in the world.
