The philosopher and life
Philosophy is necessary to a full life.
It makes it possible to lead the life
its higher realization has
and to give him all its content.

It is necessary to live before philosophizing!

It is obvious that the moment of the life where one feels
to exist because one communie intensely with
cosmos, with others or oneself, have one
to be able of properly luminous revelation, near to
the extase.
Also is right one to live for such moments by stressing that a philosophy which does not know the food is a quite poor philosophy.
Because to philosophize has directions to only live and not the reverse, as the old ones proclaimed it which had habit to say: Initially "to live, then philosophize! "
However,
if to philosophize without living philosophy condemns
,
to live without philosophizing condemns the life.

"After the men
from State, I went to find
poets...
I taken with
me
those of theirs
works
that they appeared to me
to have worked best
and I asked them
those which they
wanted to say...

However Athenian,
I have shame
to tell you the truth...

All those which
were there would have
spoken better
their poems
that themselves
who had done them.

I recognized
thus well quickly
that poets
are not guided
in their creations
by
science...

And I realized,
at the same time,
that because of
their poetic talent,
they were believed
especially wisest
men,
what is not true whole. "

Plato
(428-348 front. J.-C.),
Apology for Socrate.

The philosophy, which makes live the life spoke thought,
is a second life
in the life.

The life is not the intoxication of the life

Initially, there is no more much of life, consequently
that there is no thought in it. As underlines it
Socrat (470-399 front. J.-C.), the thought which allows
to know what one does opens the life on a conscious life,
person in charge and thus free, in opposition to an unconscious and irresponsible life, always captive ofall because of nothing to be able to control.

Moreover, as Pascal (1623-1662 ) shows it,
if to live to live is the expression of a generous life living free by love of the life, there is a life for the life which
is only one expression of distress.

In this case, one seeks to divert oneself while enivrant oneself of life, in order to escape from an interior anguish or the pressure from an external world where one feels in situation of failure.

Lastly, like reveals it Theodor W.Adorno
(1903-1969), the worship of the life was often the mask
violence in the history: that it acts of the individualism of the economists of XVIlle century (who have justitrusted selfishness in the name of the conservation of that is to say or of the Nazism (which was cut off behind the worship from the life and the vital égoïmes, in order to establish its worship of the race).

The thought is not without life

With is the opposite of all that, there more life than one thinks it in the thought?
because thinking his life, one becomes capable to direct it while knowing what one does.
But especially because the thought life is
a second life in the life which opens new prospects.

Socrat was not afraid to die in his cell.
Because, having discovered that it could double the life by this life of the thought, it became aware that all did not pass by the body.
With its continuation, all those which made the experiment of the thought tested a similar freedom, at the point to have the impression to be born. And being born from the kind with an astonishing life, they did not cease exploring this one by the reflexion like
by art.

So that they drew from it all that makes
the richness of the culture, thanks to what we take noteof the possibilities of life opened bythe thought. It is not to include/understand art only to oppose itto the thought.

As well as Hegel (1770-1831) showed, if there
were no thought, it would not have there art, because thatCi is never but returning one thought become sensitive,us become sensitive to the thought and, through it,an waked up and not deadened life.

This is why Vladimir Jankélévitch (1903- 1985) wrote:
"
One can live without philosophy, but one saw less better."
